On December 3, Osceola County Sheriff's Office Tourist Policing Unit detectives arrested Patrick McAvoy and David Castle for burglary. McAvoy and Castle are believed to be involved in hundreds of residential vacation home burglaries in Osceola, Polk and Lake counties. Detectives working undercover witnessed the suspects commit two burglaries in Polk County. McAvoy and Castle were arrested and interviewed. The information they provided detectives implicates them in burglaries in several Osceola County neighborhoods including Indian Creek, Indian Point, Windsor Hills, Sunset Lakes, Lindfields, Indian Oaks, Rolling Hills and Formosa Gardens. Detectives also recovered thousands of dollars worth of stolen property. The investigation is on-going at this time, but detectives indicate they will clear in excess of 150 burglaries. McAvoy and Castle were booked into the Osceola County Jail
